My Trip To Tampa Bay - A Week Of Total Fun

I remember 11 years back, I took a trip to Tampa Bay, FL in the US. I had never been to Florida before and had always wanted to visit there. I am the type of person who would rather sit and fry in the hot sun, sipping on a margarita and watching the ocean waves come crashing up the shoreline. So, I have to tell you, when I finally stepped foot on this magnificent state I was nothing but immensely pleased and excited.
The first thing I did, after unpacking and preparing my accommodations, was to put on my bikini and visit one of the nicest beaches in Tampa. I remember the sun being so inviting as it warmed my skin. It wasn’t extremely hot because it was in the month of October. It was warm enough to put on sunscreen though.
As I was sitting there browning my pale, Northern skin, there was a Reggae band playing right next to me next to a Tikki bar. It was such a good time as I got up and danced and watched as others were having just as much fun as I was.
The rest of the week proved to be just as much fun. Let’s see, there was a full day spent in Bush Gardens as I took a train ride around an animal safari, rode all the biggest roller coasters I could find, got drenched in the water park and got my hair beaded.
At night there was a certain long stretch of road that they would close down. It was filled with clubs, bars, dancing, drinks, bands, DJ’s and everyone would run from one club to another on foot. The cover charge for each place was only a dollar. It was such a blast. I stayed out until 4 in the morning as I remember.
Going back up North was very hard, but I have to say I was the only person with a golden tan in the middle of October in my office. Now, 11 years later I am happily living in Florida (not Tampa) but still Florida where I still enjoy the warm sunshine every day of the week.
So, if memory serves correctly, it is my birthday next week and in case you are curious as to what to buy me (that means you Nancy) I have been thinking a lot about that dvd set for House Md, just in case you couldn’t think of anything…
