It’s The Small Things

It's The Small Things

Put your hand up if you have ever thought “What’s the point in saving energy? I am but one man (or woman)!"You wouldn’t be alone, of course. I think everyone can safely admit that they have considered this at least once. And there’s nothing wrong with that, of course, because the statement holds a lot of truth.
That said, hang on a minute. Some people are actually doing a lot. Just down my road, for example, there are two people with solar panels on their roofs. Even Mrs Green, who is a bit moody and not the kind of person you would expect to be in to energy saving, stops me every now and again to say how she fully intends to power the whole community with her mighty hamsters.
Now, although this is indeed unlikely (don’t tell Mrs Green whatever you do…) she is, at least, making an effort. And it is people like these who are quietly revolutionizing the way we think about saving energy. This is exactly the subject of the post about Enigin PLC at the link here: http://www.theenigin.com/2010/07/28/become-an-energy-saver/
I know it’s easy to think “What is the point?"but why not think of it another way? Like “What is the point in not?"If you save energy, you also save MONEY too. And with a lot of money being wasted with the heat that escapes a not-very-well-insulated brick house (as are most brick houses and houses in general) there really is a lot of money to be saved by doing small things to help.
